It started with a simple idea – good fast food
The food you’ll find at Jamie Oliver’s Diner is the food you want to eat – centred around Jamie’s love of classic American comfort food. He wanted to look past the junk food and super-sized portions that people typically associate with American food, and bring the incredible flavours we know and love to the streets of London, with nutrition kept in check and some classic Jamie twists
Everything on the menu has been nutritionally analysed so you know exactly what you’re going to get (look out for the little horns and halo symbols) – whether you’re craving a naughty burger with a side of fries or a hearty salad that’s full of good stuff. We know that it’s all about choice and balance, and trust us when we tell you there’s plenty of choice on our menu.
Whatever you do choose, we’ve made sure that it’s the best quality. You won’t find anything in our food that shouldn’t be there. We only buy fresh, sustainably sourced ingredients – think free-range eggs, pork and chicken that’s chosen by breed, pasture-fed British or Irish beef and local-as-possible fruit and veg. Plus, we make our slaw using wonky veg that would otherwise go to waste.
We cook up all our amazing ingredients using some really classic techniques to max out the flavour – our chicken is turned slowly on the rotisserie for crispy skin and juicy meat, our steaks are cooked quick over coal on the Argentinian grill for real BBQ flavours and our big breakfasts are pan cooked, Naked Chef style, for a retro Jamie vibe.
On the drinks front, we’re all about transparency so we highlight which of our soft drinks have added sugar, and we’ve popped a sugar tax on them – the money of which goes directly to the Children’s Health Fund, set up to support vital children’s food education in the UK. To really get your holiday started, we’re churning up frozen Margaritas in our frozen cocktail machine at Gatwick airport – for adults only, of course.
Whatever you do, don’t skip dessert – our Mud pie is insane, or bring out your inner child with the soft serve ice cream – the ultimate comfort food.
